All Askpi Systems thermal paper rolls are manufactured 1mm narrower than the industry standard. This ensures smooth feeding without jamming in devices designed for the standard size.
All Askpi Systems thermal paper rolls are manufactured approximately 1–2mm narrower and/or shorter than the industry standard specification. This small tolerance is intentional — it ensures the paper feeds smoothly through the print head without catching on the edges or jamming inside the machine. Standard-spec paper can sometimes be too tight a fit due to manufacturing variation across different printer brands. Our rolls are compatible with all devices rated for the industry standard size.
Most POS receipt printers in Sri Lanka use 80mm × 80mm thermal rolls. Askpi Systems supplies the equivalent 78mm × 76mm roll — manufactured slightly narrower to ensure smooth, jam-free feeding in all standard POS printer models.
EFTPOS and portable payment terminals typically use 57mm × 40mm thermal paper. Our equivalent is the 56mm × 44mm roll, which fits all major EFTPOS terminal brands used in Sri Lanka.
There is no functional difference. Askpi Systems manufactures at 56mm instead of the industry standard 57mm. This 1mm manufacturing tolerance ensures the roll feeds cleanly through the print mechanism without resistance or jamming — particularly useful in high-volume environments.
Credit card and chip-and-PIN terminals use 57mm × 38mm rolls. Our 56mm × 38mm roll is compatible with all major card machine brands including Verifone, Ingenico, PAX, and Newland models commonly used in Sri Lanka.
